Default 1986 FXRS Liberty Low Rider

Picked up a 1986 FXRS Liberty Low Rider in decent shape. A few issues but its comeing along pretty good now. Good runner and looks good too. Need the small chrome side cover (left side) that goes next to the passenger foot rest. Any thoughts on where to find one? Thanks,Tom

I almost bought one of those bikes back in the 90's. It was a nice bike but had a dented front fender. I would try eBay or swapmeets for parts.

Congrats on the '86, post up some pics. The Liberty editions are somewhat rare these days.

J&P cycles has both frame and side covers. After reading your post I went and looked for them. If I was on a computer instead of smart phone I would post link...sorry bout that.

Congrats on a great find! Though I don't have mine anymore the FXR will always be a sweet ride in my mind.
Try looking here http://www.elvisplace.com/ for any older parts you might need 'cuz Eric's got a ton of stuff and is easy to deal with.
Hope that helps. Ride safe.

Thanks for the input guys. I pretty much gave this scoot to my son Will. Its his first Harley. I told him about this forum so he might post some pics himself. I ride a 2005 Wide Glide. This 05 is one sweet ride.

Damn, you're a nice Dad.

Does your son even understand what he owns now? Personally, I would have given him the Wide Glide and kept the FXR.
