Default Ride along with other than HD?

Today a bike pulled into our ghosttown and started taking pics of his bike and the old 20's buildings. Of course I had to go out and say hello. Told me he had joined an adventure riding club. He was riding a Suzi dual sport. By the time he was finished snapping pics, I had the Harley ready to ride. Took him to the old eastgate of RMNP and turned for home.
So the question is , would you go out of your way to ride with something other than another HD?

If it's got 2 wheels and can keep up I'll ride it or with it.

You hear WAY to many people saying that they bought an "insert bike brand here" so they can do their own thing. Then they join a riding club or will only ride with people of the same class in society and/or that ride the same bike and do all of the same mods to the bike. Pretty soon the "individual" mind set has them in a group that are all about the same.

2 wheels is 2 wheels. Does it really matter if its not a Harley next to you? As long as your in the wind right?

Exactly my thoughts

The attitude of what kind of bike it is riding with you is just being a snob

I'll let them go out of their way to ride with me but me go out of my way? No way. If they want to ride with me, I'm going that way. See ya.

Most of my riding is done with a buddy of mine that has a Rocket 3...needless to say he likes to see how long I can keep up with him...and it's not long

Depends on the rider not the bike. I pretty much only ride with two other guys when i ride with anyone else at all. They are brothers. One rides a HD the other rides a sport bike. I enjoy it not because of what they ride but the fact that they always seem to come up with cool routes and neither of them act like retards on or off their bikes.

I may give some of my buddies hell for riding a metric or a BMW, but I still ride with them. It's just good-natured fun. When I ride, I ride with people, not bikes.

On the flip side, there are some people I wouldn't ride with if they had the nicest HD's available.

It's the person that matters, not the type of bike they might be riding.
