Yup...you see things there you probably won't see anywhere else! Things you shouldn't see anywhere else.

They made a smart decision when they moved the Festy date to just before Sturgis....late September could be pretty dicey in Montana for nudity and associated frolickin.

Always best to camp if you're gonna drink...the Montana Troopers patrol the adjacent I-90 pretty heavily during Festy (and the festivities get wilder in the evenings anyway)!

This is a *crazy* party. It's not just biker thing, though 2/3 of the folks there are bikers. Just a lot of........anthropology Krusty's right. For the Festy (and for the Sturgis traffic), they pull in staties from as far away as Miles City. Best to hunker down adn enjoy the "humanity"

There is some great camping in the area....and fishing!

If anyone's going and up for fishing the "hangover hatch" let me know. You can bring your doggie bag from the night before and I'll make the coffee.

How hard is it to find a place to set up a tiny 1 man tent for a day or maybe 2? I really want to hit sturgis again this year but might stop in clinton depending on how much it is to camp there and how hard it would be to just "drop in"

It's easy to find a place to set up a small tent....very biker friendly...there's a lot of room...everybody is shitfaced and happy. Bring lots of mardi-gras beads.....

Pitchin' a tent at the ******** festival? But you're only pitching a tiny tent?

Unfortunately, that sounds like a euphemism for getting an erection in the men's locker room.

You might get special recognition for being the first person that mean it literally.

Well I wasn't planning on Sturgis this year, nor was I aware of TestyFesty, but after reading this thread this morning, I have been planning my route and checking my budget. This looks like a great time! The message is out to my riding buddies........now hopefully the boss will give me some of the 5 weeks of holidays he owes me!

Hope to see you there!
