Owner's Manual ! Who reads them ?

An owner's manual should come with every new bike that is sold...But it seems that no one ever reads them...When I bought my 2009 Flhtc I learned a lot about the bike that I didn't realize by reading the manual...The ironic thing is I work on these bikes for a living...There is a lot of good information in those manuals but it seem no one wants to read them...I guess it is a lot easier to call the dealer or go to a forum and ask simple questions that are easy to find in the owners manual...Such as setting the clock ....operating the cruise control...enabling the eitms...It's all in there...So who actually reads them?

I do. If the bike didn't come with one, I'll order it and then read it.

Read? Who said Harley riders know how to read. Seriously though I got a service manual for my dyna. It helps a lot

My 2012 came with an owner's manual and I ordered the service manual as well. They sit in my 2nd office and I read for 15 minutes every morning while enjoying bowel movements.

I always read the owners manual cover to cover. Also have read the service manual cover to cover and always use it.

I am one of the few people I know who reads the entire owner's manual of all the new vehicles that I have purchased. Now, retention of "all" of the information is another story. Whenever an issue arises I refer to the owner's maual. For technical or difficult information when needed... as always my service manual.

Never read mine completely till people keep asking all these questions. Now I've been through the service and electrical diagnostic manual and signed up for Harley's manual of the month club.

I learned a lot from reading the owners manual. [My second new HD 07 FXDWG]
Also got the service manual as well. Some great info in there

Completely? No. It is a reference material just like the Service Manual I bought. I have used my Owners Manual and my Service Manual on many occasions.
