Screw this, I'm going to Carlsbad
 

I'm on days off and I ain't sitting in front of this computer the whole time. I don't have to be at work till Thursday night. I'm getting on the Road King and heading west, no mater how hot it is. Don't know exactly where I'm going or how long I will be gone. I'm taking my camera so I will be posting pics when I get back. Maybe I'll see a large guy on a little bike or something. :)

Man, it's too hot for Carlsbad. I'd head to Cloudcroft or Ruidoso. Have fun, be safe.

It's 100 degrees in Cruces FWIW. Too bad you can't ride your bike through the caverns, but they have some kinda river there. Have fun!

stop at the no whiner diner for lunch or supper. i was in carlsbad yesterday on way back from sturgis...awfully hot there.

Changed my destination, I'm in Roswell at the Taco Bell. Never been here before so I must go to Harley dealer & get shirt.

If you've never been to Ruidoso or Cloudcroft, post up and I'll tell you about some decent rides.

Keep going all the way to Carlsbad, CA -- the beach awaits and it's nice and cool (maybe 70 degrees), but you will have some HOT driving between NM and C'bad! SJ Ron

Carlsbad Caverns are awesome and 52 degrees year round :)

Got home about 90 minutes ago.
I was thinking of Cloudcroft but I have never been to Roswell and I wanted to see the UFO museum. The museum was closed. And you guys are right, It is HOT.
About 20 miles into the trip I ran into road construction. As you can see, the grass burnt up. Twenty miles down the road I encountered fire trucks going to another fire.
