Question about 5 hole air cleaner cover

Hey guys, just curious about if I bought this from the dealer if it would come with a bracket so that I could mount it up to my stage 1 air cleaner? I have seen the brackets that have the center hoel and then arms that branch out to the 5 holes, just not sure if it comes with that bracket or not??

Nevermind I see that this isn't actually an entire cover but just an insert to the existing cover.

It comes with the bracket and chrome screws BUT it doesn't come with the washer that is needed to mount the bracket to the SE filter. Without the washer/spacer the cover will not mount to the bracket. That washer is part of a "kit" that includes the rainsock and the washer. Just another way for HD to get another $25 bucks out of you unless you want the rain sock as well. You could probably find a suitable washer at the hardware store but it is thicker than a regular washer. The washer is not needed if you are mounting the cover/insert to the stock air cleaner cover.

Really?

Mine did not (#1 skull). I got the rain sock as well and it had the washer. Maybe it was a mistake in packaging.

This is the part I got. The instruction sheet doesn't show a washer.

I have the exact insert aka (cover) on my stage one air filter.
Mine didn't come with a washer.

Any standard washer will work.
Total cost 10 cents.

Good luck,

Tom

I feel like a dumb dumb asking this, but will this part from HD look like it is pictured? i have the screaming eagle stage 1 filter on my bike, and am wondering if this will cover the entire front of the filter like it's shown in the pictures? It's so hard to tell with HD sometimes.

I called the dealer and you read the link above and tell me what you think you are getting????? Cause all you get is a rain sock, the actual cover is not included in that, I sure wouldn't have thought so by reading it.

yes, the cover comes out to, and slightly beyond, the edge of the filter.
