Finned head bolt bridge
2 Attachment(s)
Leafing through the Harley catalog I came across these finned head bolt bridges that really fill in the gaps where your plugs are and cover the head bolts. I put them on and I like them. Kind of makes the motor look like a Victory. They don't seem to be popular among the masses. Anyone else run them?

I had them on my Night Train and liked how they looked.

I have them on my Street Glide. Previous owner put them on. Not sure if I would of.

Do you have to remove the spark plugs to install them?

Hope they attach better than the evo style did , those had a tendency to pop off .
|
I have had them on my Heritage Classic for about 5 years. I like the look and haven't had a problem with them coming loose.

I have them on a Deuce, Road Glide and the wife's Sportster. Not had one problem.

Why put covers on an air cooled engine?
May not be restricting air flow all that much over engine surface or block that much heat from radiating off engine. But it all adds up. |
I didn't even read your second sentence and was already thinking the same thing, looks like a victory! Guess I'm not a fan, but I'm not much of a fan of covers, chrome or otherwise.
But that's just me. |
