Harley Lynx.

I only paid $110 for it last summer. If it is over $150. I would get a better boot, probably Danner will be my next one.

It depends on the weather and how long of a ride...normally I wear boots.

Lace up leather boots with comfortable walking sole. No metal anywhere. Learned that a long time ago. Metal can scratch quickly.

Sitting at a stop sign years back on my Road King, I got bumped in the rear by a guy in a pickup waiting to turn right also. He was looking to his left for oncoming traffic and thought I had turned. With his bump, bike surged ahead and wanted to lay over and I felt lots of pressure going to my feet, especially my ankles. Luckily, I had my boots on or I'm sure my ankle/s would have snapped and then the bike would have gone over. Fortunately with my ankles supported I was able to avoid all the above and kept control of the bike. Even if I wear shorts, I have my boots on.
