Utah canyon land trip advise needed
My wife and I are planning a long trip to AZ NV and Ut in mid to late April or May. I would appreciate any advise on things such as what things are must see in UT and if the roads are passable for our scoots in Mid April at the Bryce Canyon and Zions elevations.
Thanks in advance.

Garden of the Gods, Delicate Arch, Goblin valley... All great spots to see!
In fact, contact the Travel Council in Moab, Utah. You can ask for Robert Riberia by name, and he'll hook you up with everything from maps, to pics of the places, and everything you could need!

Brice Canyon, Zion, the Grand Canyon and the entire area is beautiful, but you must remember that you are at elevation and the temperatures will be cooler. I would do the trip in mid-May, as the area can get snow in mid-April. Be sure to include rides to Sedona, Jerome, and Oatman, AZ, as well.

Just depends. Late April and early May will *probably* be pretty good weather in most of southern Utah and AZ, but much above 7,000' could be pretty cool. Especially early morning and late afternoon. It'll likely be more "iffy" at even higher elevations.
The last 10 years we have usually ridden a couple weeks in southern Utah and AZ some time from mid April to mid May. A few years ago it was very warm in Moab and Zion, and comfortable in higher towns like Monticello, Torrey, Bolder, and Bryce. The following year at the same time (late April) we had the headed gear plugged in and we rode through snow from Torrey to Bryce.
Make sure to stay in Springdale right beside Zion. Catch the park shuttle from town through the park and do some hikes. I really enjoyed the hike up to Angels Landing. I will say I was a little tense walking along a few of the ledges!

Zion should be fine and very pretty. Bryce may still have snow in April. The North Rim won't be open in April. A lot of this will really depend on your routes and destination. Moab should be okay, but really cool. If it were me, I would look towards May over April.
