I differ with the majority, I see lots of younger riders on HDs, and most of the crew I ride with is young and they are on HDs as well, I ride with my nieces husband, in his early 20s and he owns a sportster and a custom hard tail chopper and is looking to get a street glide within the next year or so. Yes he has to buy used, but most all of us bought used bikes and turned them into our idea of what a bike should look like.
I go to the local biker hang out and yes I see older bikers, but I see just as many if not more who are in Thier 20s. So in my eyes Harley has done a great job of attracting the younger gen, and more power to them.

It's the cost that is keeping the sales numbers down in that age range as it's always been.
