Might not be anything available "off the shelf", but it isn't that big a deal to split a tank and weld in a bit of a center section to widen it. Or maybe I should say it isn't a biggie for an experienced sheet metal hand...
I traded the Nighty tank to one of my Brothers for his 72 tank. He needed the extra gas, and I got the good looking tank. With the bit of customization he's done to his 72 the tank looks good. And the 2 gal tank on my bike really pops on the low-stripped down look of the Nighty. Win-Win.

I agree. For the old sportsters (Ironheads) there was a aftermarket "King" Sporty tank that kept the exact same side profile, just a little wider. Added an extra gal, fron 2.2 to 3.2 and still looked pretty good. Don't know if there's anything out there like that for modern bikes.
I do think the "72" is a good lookin' bike.

I can agree with dickey on the price. It's pretty crazy. I love the bike though. If
I could have one in either gold or green flake for a reasonable price I would be all over it. Mayeb when they start hitting the used market.
