Trying to get the Polaris Slingshot designated as an autocycle in the state of Pennsylvania so it can become a registered vehicle is one of them.

 

I just got my Wisconsin ABATE newsletter. They are trying to make sure the Share The Road curriculum doesn't get eliminated from Driver's Ed, as it becomes more common to take the written curriculum online. No question they work on behalf of all bikers, but you wouldn't know that if you don't get their newsletter.

 

anyone here from Chicago? I remember when "they" tried to ban bikes from some famous highway that follows the lake? Edit: Was it Lake Shore Drive?

Locally, our ABATE members have showed up at court hearings when bikers have been killed in vehicle collisions, to show support and hopefully influence the courts.

Oh Yeah! They did a great job here in NC.
The Legislature was going to repeal the helmet law. Then ABATE got heavily involved. Next thing you know, not only do you still have to wear a helmet, it has to be DOT certified explicitly.
Gone are the days of the Beanie. Now, there are 'mushroom' heads everywhere.
