Anyone else have "cobalt pearl" factory paint?
Hey all. New guy here, tryin' to get a few threads going. I rode a black/ orange Sportster for many years, so when I decided to sell it a few yrs back and shop for a used but almost new Dyna, I made up my mind that I wanted a nice factory metallic paint job, preferrably blue or burgundy.
I don't usually regard color too highly when I'm shopping for a used vehicle, as I would low mileage, mechanical issues, etc., but I planned on keeping this one for a while, so I decided to not buy basic black, teal, or orange, no matter how nice the bike was.
I quickly found this low mileage blue 2000 Superglide, and immediately liked the color, tank decals, etc. I didn't know it was called blue pearl, until I found a factory label up under the rear fender a while after I got the bike. It's metallic, and is blue most of the time, but in very bright sunlight it looks pure purple. I really like it.
I don't know how often HD uses or discontinues certain colors, but I haven't seen another bike around here yet with the same factory paint, but then again, I'm in a one-horse town. Just wondered if anyone else had a factory cobalt pearl bike.
Josh... oh, and finally got those ugly reflectors and frame stickers off.

Yeeup got the big blue pearl on my FatBob. In the shade it looks like a solid color, get it out in the sun & that thing is full of sparkle.

Thanks folks. Nice bikes. Yes, it is called Cobalt Pearl. I hadn't looked at that sticker in about 5 yrs, and I thought it had said blue pearl. I'm glad I just checked again, because it's almost unreadable now.
Did HD typically leave the stickers inside the fender? It's a white label that gives the year, model, color, and says rear fender, and has a bar code on it.
