Default Where to find HD dealers who discount parts

Seems as though all the 20% discounters aren't doing it anymore. Is there a secret handshake to find dealers willing to discount on HD parts, or is the HD discount gone the way of the dinosaur?

Thanks,
Rick

You'll need to know the part number you are after if you go to New Castle and order online. Great service and good pricing. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them and no complaints.

I just ordered a master cylinder from Newcastle HD last Monday night. The local HD dealer wanted $113 plus tax and had to order it. Newcastle wanted $74.95 plus $17.95 shipping and had to order it. I got an email saying it had shipped to me last Thursday and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

whatever you do don't go to "Illinois Harley", they give NO MORE DISCOUNTS !!... lol..

i can get 10% at my local dealer on big ticket items, all you have to is ask. i just ask if they have any specials going on or discounts that can be applied. the worse they can say is no. i don't worry about the small stuff. anything over 200 bucks is when i start asking.

I JUST ordered a QD Winshield for my Sportster not even an hour ago. Then I see this thread...grrr...even though I saved $46.00 over the dealer cost, New Castle would have saved me $70.00.

HD wants $349.99 + $21.00 (6% tax) (available at my dealer) = $370.99
Surdyke.com sold it to me for $298.13 + $23.85 S/H + $3.00 Ins (no tax) = $324.98
New Castle has it for $275.24 + $25.68 S/H (didn't see an ins option) (no tax) = $300.92

I've tried em all. Current favorite is Hornytoad H-D. Although they don't have an ecommerce site, Jon is super fast and super responsive. Give them a try.

I punched up a head temp sensor that I recently bought and was impressed with that Newcastle price. Thanks for the link.

Another thing to try is to punch up the HD p/n for what you need on ebay. Sometimes you can find it brand new for cheap.

Surprised nobody has mentioned http://www.surdyke.com. I've had great experience with them.
