MOCO special program for 07's
 

I received a call from the MOCO yesterday asking if I was interested in taking part in a special program with the 2007 models.

They will be at my local dealership next week and have asked that they be allowed to put a device on my bike that will monitor the engine for a period of 6 to 9 months. In return they will give me a $250.00 gift certificate for Harley accesories etc. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to do the install.

I explained that the bike has been modified with SERT A/C and aftermarket pipes. They stated that as long as it was a screaming eagle A/C and SERT it was okay. They will not allow a power commander for the program.

Has anyone else heard of this program or know anything about it.

Pay you to ride yourbike, that's cool.I know i'll spend $250.00at the dealer this year on something i think i have to have.

Is it a black box? Will it monitor speed, rpm etc. Will it let Harley know how hard you beat on your bike? Can they GPS your bike while you are riding. Will it affect your warranty if they don't like what they see? If you're in an accident will the police be able to use info from the device as part of the accident investigation? Not saying don't do it but I'd want to know a lot more about the program, and the information they will gather before I let them put it on my bike. I don't want how I ride documented....

Maybe this is a step in the direction to solve the 07 tranny issue or at least look into it?
