Also, the AMF era ended in 1982, the Evo came out in 1984-definately NOT an AMF engine.

If I'm not mistaken the Evo engine was an AMF project that they helped engineer and design.

Good thing I'm not an expert, been building and riding these twins for 50 yrs and unless asked about them will not offer any experience, just too many real experts to extoll their knowledge.

Ya know, my intitial response was going to be sarcasm only because your comment begs for it. But I will leave that thought be and say that no one who has posted is attempting/trying to "extoll" anything on anyone in this thread or profess to be the one who knows it all.

This thead is not about wealth of knowledge or lambasting somone for mistakes made trying to explain some history of MoCo. It is about history, and insuring the legacy of HD will still thrive. Sorry that you seem to feel otherwise, but tomorrow morning the sun will still rise, with or without you...or any of us for that matter.

Someone posted up information that they believed was fairly accurate; others have posted up some follow up comments attempting to correct what they believe is incorrect.

So...great that you have been riding and wrenching for the last 50... but talk is cheap.....
