Can't take my bike to work
Man, I'll tell you..some of you guys are lucky to ride yours to work...me? I say to my wife the other day that I'm gonna take the bike...really she say's? Where you putting your lap top, project binder, better bring your cell phone charger, where you putting your coffee?...man..it was back to the chev pickup coffee holder and all....sure wish I had a job that all I had to do was show up in my jeans...well It's a nice day in Toronto so we're riding to Port Perry....cheers

Put the coffee in your belly and use a back pack to carry the rest.
Contrary to some fashion sense, a back pack doesn't equate to a desire to fudge pack. |

Coffee and lunch's easy....daybag fer them,haha....... |
Dress slacks and bikes just don't look right.

i put my laptop on my saddlebag...while i'd like to be able to always wear jeans to work...i wear my business attire to work, whether i'm on the bike or not...and yes, it's gotten some stares at traffic lights...actually, i just thought of it, have a change of clothes at work!

That sucks, but hell, if I was you I'd find a big 'ol backpack or something! My problem is that I can ride to work, but I don't feel right waking up the neighbors at 5:30am.

You just need a slightly over sized jumpsuit and a backpack. Coffee time is before & after the ride to work.

Simple solution..Get an ULTRA!!

I ride to work often if it's not going to rain. The laptop goes into the saddlebag. I ride to work in dress slacks, dress shirt and wing tips. I put the tie on when I get there. I guess I don't care whether someone else thinks it looks right or not.

Saddlebags are your friends. Get a removable set. There are plenty around that are cheap. If you're woorried about arriving disheveled and/or sweaty, just leave a change of clothes at work and wipe down when you get there.
I have back issues so the backpack thing wouldn't work for me. Just think of all the money you'll save in a year in gas. Give 1/3 to your wife, 1/3 in the retirement account and 1/3 put back into the scoot. Now everyone will be happy. |
