Seriously, though, as shitty as it is, 90% of everything we own is made somewhere else.

I bought my MC boots at wallmart for $80. Leather, zip up side with rubber strip behind the zipper to keep water out and tough as nails (I've put about 2500 miles on them and they still look new). Comfortable that I wear them all day at work when I ride.

I wear Danner Acadia's in the summer and a pair of HD FXRG's in the winter.. I'm a big fan of Danner.. most of their stuff is made in American still.. pricey but they are excellent boots

Isn't Irish Setter a brand sold thru Red Wing? They also sell a less expensive Chinese line called Works. My Red Wing Pecos pull ons are made in the USA. The soles are too worn and cant be replaced, and am waiting on a pair of Double H harness to arrive. Heard good things about those too.

Just curious. Why do so many Harley riders prefer what are essentially work boots over proper motorcycle riding boots that are designed specifically to protect your feet, ankles, shins, etc., in the event of an accident?

Yep, it says "Irish Setter by Redwing", which may lead people to believe its made in USA. My only point was to make everyone aware that "redwing" does not automatically mean "made in USA" since so many were raving about them.

If you try on a pair of Lowa boots, you'll take a weedeater to those Merrells.

I can't help it...

Several years ago I had taken a four hour drive to San Francisco to drop my wife off at the airport after which I stopped by stompers to look for some boots... Sadly nothing I wanted was in stock and ended up ordering a pair of Wesco's at Sturgis the following year.

I better not say anything I'll just let you watch... hehehe

Enjoy the boot party...

Unfortunately, almost every brand now has a cheaper offshore line. You have to read the labels carefully.
