Go with the Road King. If you don't, you may always regret not getting it.

I think you may be more comfortable posting on the Quilting Forum.

Considering what Switchbacks are selling for in most markets, you get so much more with a Road King.

Your real question should be, which Road king to get
the standard or the classic. I have fell in love with my
cruse control, and the standard Road King and the
switchback don't have one.

Yes, we are newly wed, and she is not at all a fan of motorcyles, or me riding one, but she knows that i've wanted a Harley since i was 5 year olds, so she caved. I'm stationed in the UK right now, so most of the riding I would be doing for the next two years would be short trips (I can be just about anywhere in europe in 8 to 10 hours), and I know that my wife wont be riding with me for a long time, if ever. I'm all for doing things right the first time, and I just found out yesterday that i'm getting promoted next year, so that has helped my case for getting a RK. The problem with being able to ride either of them, is that the military sales place they have here on base, does not have bikes that we are able to test ride, there for I can;t try either of them out. The switchback is going to run me around 18,500 with the 7 year warrenty and delivery to the UK, so i'm looking at about 20k for a RK. And yes, I'm only allowed to have one motorcycle.

ha ha ha thats funny s!@t... lol smh... v-rod... saves you money and looks mean... no need to do pay an extra 5000 dollars to make power... if you need to carry more than what you can fit in a back pack then use the jeep... just my opinion though...

I don't think you can go wrong with the RK..great bike for touring as well as just tooling around.

You need to break them in the way you want them. And that goes for more than bikes... ;- )
