Default 2012 103 engine ping

I have a 2012 Electra Glide Ultra with a 103 CID engine and I hear a slight ping on acceleration. Anyone else have this issue and what can be done about it?

Just put over 700 miles on a 2012 StreetGlide with the 103 motor, in and around Glacier National Park and some riding south of there in the mountains. I experienced no pinging what so ever. That was with two up riding. Didn't mind using a lower gear when needed for acceleration. Most fuel available was 91 octane with no ethanol.

A slight ping will do no harm but if it bothers you try a higher octane fuel or add octane boost.

Don't forget to get the tuner and have a dyno run to set the proper AF ratio, not the pass the EPA setting that factory H-D uses.

I agree with those suggesting to go with a higher grade octane and see what happens.

Join the rest of us with little to no engine modifications and are annoyed by the ping thing. I use XIED's and they help a bit, but don't eliminate all the pinging.
