i went to my dealer today and they had hot dogs and hamburgers. they were raising money for the local animal shelters. not one salesman approached me. the parts guy asked if there was anything he could do for me.

I too was at my HD dealer today for some parts. The salesman that sold me my talked about the changes I made to it,asked for a picture of it to put on the wall. I know he rides and see him out form time to time. I told him I want to test ride a 13 Fugly when the arrive. Most of the staff at this dealership rides and they are genuine. Guess I'm lucky!

and this is a problem how? did you need a salesman to get you a hotdog?
personally, i like it that way. i like to look on my own, and then if i want assistance, i will ask for it. i don't need a salesman to tell me how to work the radio, and most salesman are not gonna know the 'under the hood' technical items anyway.

+1 You are going to have some people complain that the salesmen are too eager and hound customers like vultures. And on the other hand, you have some who complain that the salesmen don't approach them. I like the ones who pass by and all they say is let them know if you need anything/have questions. The way I look at it, if someone is serious enough about buying a bike, they'll get a salesman's attention at some point. The majority of people in an HD show room are just browsing anyway.

A 1080P Cathode Ray Tube TV eh??? I prefer vacuum tubes for audio, but I think I'll stick to flat screens for viewing.
That salesman had a lot of nerve, trying to convince a potential buyer that newer is better. Sounds like they got it all backwards at that dealership, I'm surprised they are still in business.
