Default Reduced Reach Handlebars

If I put reduced reach handlebars on my Heritage Classic, do I also need to change all the cables?
Thanks for any information.

I don't know for sure about a Heritage but it would depend how much longer the bars are that you're putting on the bike. I have swapped several bars on different bikes and generally speaking you can re-route the cables and gain 3 or 4 inches in most cases.

if the sum of the rise, width and pullback (reach in your case) is close to what you are running now, probably not. Internally routed wiring has less margin of play. Just measure it and make sure the bars travel lock-to-lock.

Ask the parts person at your favorite dealership.

Hmm, yea I didn't account for internal wires. OP- what year is your bike?

There should be some place where you can hide the extra slack in the wires.
