Evo or Twin Cam 88

Thinking on trading in my two, should I stick with Evo Big Twin or Twin Cam 88, just wondering what you would do,....

How much for the Sturgis?

Now there's a question, depends on the condition and the mileage of the bikes, an Evo Sturgis has got to be pretty rare even in the States they were only made for that year as I recall, what's the 88 ? If its something like a Nightrain or Wideglide with a lot less mileage than the Evo I'd probably keep the 88, and hopefully get a good price for the Sturgis.

Not sure yet it is #1098 of 1600 runs well but needs tidying, I will have no trouble selling it, every place I go it gets attention, well off harley heads.

Also I'm in Ireland so shipping would be a lot to the States, I presume that is where you are.

Bummer I'm not in Ireland and am not well off, I am a Harley head.
One outta three ain't bad.

I would sell the xl and get an evo or early 88. No way I would sell that Sturgis.

I really liked my evo, but I love my TC. If you are looking at a 88, think about getting the big bore kit and bump it up to 95. That's what I did and I do not regret it for a second. Evos are great engines and in my opinion, the best engine Harley ever made, BUT given the age of the evo, chances are pretty good it will already have plenty of back yard, didn't really know what they were doing mods in it. You are talking about a bike that will be at least 13 years old. There could potentially be a lot of redo it correctly stuff to take care of.

Man I must have miss the post about the Sturgis in the thread but I would go for the Evo just because of what it is. If it runs good and has most parts there I would rather have that. I have a 96 EVo and a -5 TC and ride the Evo much more. 'm not afraid to take it anywhere.

Personally I'd keep'em both!
However, if only ONE could stay I'd keep the Sturgis.

Since you're getting a new bike, it would be nice to have the EVO just to "putt around"!

I recently sold my wife's '99 Heritage EVO, but I still (and will always have my '98 Heritage Springer Anniversary Edition EVO, and I'm selling my 2000 Ultra T/C 88 but I also have an '03 RK with a T/C 88 with a 5spd tranny.

PM me if you want to sell the 91 Low rider. I had one and was thinking of getting another as a project bike to do a 100% tear down and rebuild doing a stage 1,2 & 3.
