6 Speed Tran Oil?
Ok, reading my new owners manual. In the trans they list Formula+ or Syn 3. What, no GL-5? I always used 75w/90 GL-5 before. Just the MoCo or is this the new hotness.

For tranny fluid, this one right here'
Pricey, but it stopped the whine that I had..
Pass on the Syn 3..
Too light...viscosity..

I'm going to try redline
Hi all,
after 37k on a 2010 FLHTK I had the Inner primary bearing and the primary shaft bearing start making noise on their way to failure. Just picked up the old parts from the repair today. The repair was about 1300.00 . While I was talking with the tech and writer I asked how do I prvent this from happening again. I have had ALL regular maint done at the dealer and I have run syn 3 in all 3. Without missing a beat they both recomeended Redline. They pointed out that yes yiu can run syn3 in the tranny but it is first and foremost an engine oil. The redline is a gear oil. So for me after a major repair, because of oil selection, I'm switching to the recomennded Red Line. I'll let you all know what I think after I put some miles on it this coming spring.

I use Redline and still needed a new transmission. 07 RG at 40,000 mi.
