Default DuBois Harley-Davidson

OK, saw a thread on how bad some dealers were.

I broke down in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania in August in a torrential downpour. Throttle cable snapped. I got a lift about a half hour later from some good Samaritans with a trailer. They said they were on their way to DuBois which was about 10 miles away.
It was 2:00 in the afternoon when I got there. These folks would not take a dime when I offered 50 bucks. I told them they were wonderful and they left.
The good folks at DuBois Harley Davidson where I was dropped off were wonderful too. They helped getting the bike off the trailer and then replaced the cable and adjusted it correctly for a whopping 53 bucks.
I was a happy dude, the sun was out and I knew I would make it to my destination before dark.
Not only are they good people at DuBois HD, they got a really interesting nostalgic store. Almost makes me wish I lived up there. The prices on new bikes seemed fair also.
If you are passing through there, make sure you stop. One of the good ones.

+1 on DuBois HD. Back in 2006 2 friends and myself were on our way to the 5th anniversary of 9/11 and my buddies clutch was giving him some problems. We stopped at DuBois HD and they took him in and adjusted his clutch for a small fee and we were on our way. I have another friend who grew up in DuBois and lives here in S/E Michigan. He buys all his Harleys from DuBois HD....Great place...

Sometimes I wonder what to expect when I go to a dealer. Landers in Little Rock last Saturday a guy asked me 3 times if he could help me. Wished I'd a been looking for something particular.....

That's a good one FLTRU, I was walking through Landers lot, and a new salesman said nice street glide. I said Electra-Glide. He returned with "No it's not, it's a street glide. I replied but can't say what I told him next. ROFL
Nobody has asked me if I needed help since that day, two plus years ago. "Nobody"

Took a ride to Dubois HD with friends of mine last summer. It's an old factory that was converted into the dealership. Very nostalgic and located in the beautiful mountains of Pa. Cool!!!!

I rode to NYC with a 9-1-1 group a few years ago and the DuBois dealership "hosted" the group with coffee and donuts.

Nice folks and a neat dealership.

I may be going through there this year and I plan to stop in and spend a few bucks for some "T"s or perhaps some new "hoodies".

Throttle cables are something few people ever think about until they break.
On the trip to NYC one of the guys had one to break shortly before we got to the NY state line and had to be trailered to the dealership.
Just before I sold my 2000 Ultra this year I had both throttle cables replaced when I was having some other work done.
If you have an older bike, keep in mind that it is much easier, and cheaper to do this as PM versus a road repair.

That dealership isn't far from us and we usually stop in their a couple times a year.
