2004 electraglide 25,000 miles did the oil pump and hydraulic tensioner upgrade, mechanic said that's the best thing I could ever do as far as upgrades. Any way here is the old ones , not too bad could have gone longer.

Pretty much doubled the oil pressure at idle and at speed.

Good choice. I am very pleased with mine. Did you take the opportunity to upgrade your cams? Cams were the best $ spent on my bike.

Very good question as I'm at 23K on my Ultra. I looked at my shoes 100 miles ago and the inner was about a finger nail depth and the one closest to me looked barely worn! I'm fairly mechanically inclined and the gear drive change looks pretty simple. The only problem is setting up the indicator for the pinion drive run-out to see if its do-able. Any pointers out there?

There big $$$ I would just slap a new set of shoes in and some Andrews 21 cams and hold on!

No new cams because I am satisfied with the way the bike runs and I am a tight wad! Cams would lead to exhaust and rejetting and on and on and on . As far as I know it's stock. And I think I will keep it that way.

Bored , so I looked. Your shoes were shot and you can't accurately predict when they would have trashed your oil pump or engine.

Yeah I am glad that I got it done and over with. At 10000 miles a year I should be good to go for 8or ten years .

Did mine at 45,000 along with a couple other things as long as in there anyway. Shoes still had some life left in them but the piece of mind outweighed the expense as far as I was concerned.
