Anybody wear the Durango Harness boots?
I am looking to get a pair of boots this weekend and was leaning towards the Durango Harness boots and wanted to see if anybody has or does wear these when they ride and can provide some feedback about them. Im probably not going to be able to get a bike until spring but I figure I could always get boots and break them in before hand.
Here is a link to the boots. http://www.countryoutfitter.com/prod...ts-oiled-black Thanks for any help. |
I wear Chippewa 11" Harness boots made here in the USA.
I found them on ebay for $100. |
I bought a pair of Durango Harness boots for riding. Very uncomfortable for riding! I'll wear them occasionally.

I don't have the harness boot, but I do wear Durango boots, don't know the name of the style. Anyway, they are comfortable, have rubber soles and a good price.

Before you pull the switch on Durango, look at the Double H brand. I've got the harness boot and they put my Red Wing Pecos to shame in the comfort department. Still trying to like the squared off harness style though. However, that's any brand.

I have about 25,000 miles on a pair of these harness boots. They are well made and about half the price.

The classic engineering boot as we called them in the 70's , trick I found with those is go wide on the fit and don't wear cheap white socks .

Agree, don't wear white socks |
I have that boot. I can't speak for the finish, since I have the distressed brown leather, but they're comfortable to ride in. Of course, they're only one of two pairs of boots I've ridden in since I started riding just before Thanksgiving, so I haven't had a chance to compare them to much. I do worry about going down, though. They feel like they would slide off my feet in a heartbeat if I hit the pavement.

I have the same pair. Failry comfortable, not bad for riding, and yes as stated above no white socks. Only compalint wish the heel was a little smaller. For the price good boot.
