New helmet arrived, but I'm bummed

Ordered a Nolan Trilogy Outlaw from Revzilla.com.

The helmet is awesome but there must be a quality control issue at Nolan because the finish is completely fooked up around the forehead area and the snap down sunshade goes right past the detent and has to be manually reseated every time.

I called Revzilla and they are awesome. They are sending me a new helmet with no questions asked, no double cross ship charge. Their customer service is great.

It's just a bummer that a supposed 100% Italian made (says all over the box) helmet with a big "Checked by Inspector #24" stamp on the lid of the box came to me in less than good shape. I would expect this from a cheapo Chi-com helmet, but not a Nolan.

Maybe it was made on a Friday!

Maybe they started to polish it and realized it was a denim finish?
Almost looks like oil on it.

Well that certainly sucks. On the other hand, at least Revzilla is trying to make it right at their expense.

Not as bummed as I was when I had to pay to ship a defective helmet back and then pay for 2day shipping back because I needed it for a roadtrip. That company lost my business forever.

Kudos to Revzilla for showing how it's supposed to work.

Great customer service! I wasn't too happy with my last Nolan helmet either. I now have an HJC similar to the Nolan you bought, great helmet way cheaper...er..less expensive.

Made in Italy doesn't always mean quality. Look at FIAT.

Nolan are just a very average helmet maker to be honest compared to the likes of schuberth - no offence ment to be caused mate but it's the business I am in and that's the facts

Kowan Mar 28, 2013 03:09 PM

Do you manufacturer either one? What type of business? Helmet testing?
