Valvoline VR-1
For anyone using VR-1 Advanced Auto has it on sale for $3.49 a quart (normally $5.99). I've read good results on this oil so I figured I give it a try. They also have M-1 and a M-1 oil filter on sale too. Bought that for my truck.

I use the vr1 and pure one filters. Seems to work great.

Thanks, it's normally $4.59 a quart here where I buy from, think I'll stock up, I my about due. Had no problems running the VR1 in my Sportster, I get my filter from the dealer or use a K&N.

Thanks for posting I'm going to stock up. VR1 is the conventional oil of choice for my Harleys and air cooled BMW. Lots of zinc and phosphorus in it.
