Default cannot decide between carb or EFI

I have stock EFI on my 97 roadking but am rebuilding motor with a big cam and high compression pistons and port and polish. i have heard that EFI is hard to tune with new cam. plus i also heard that i might have to run a gas additive. I do like the thought of being able to work on carb. THOUGHTS!!!!

i myself, i like to be able to work on my own bikr as far as tuning goes.... but i do like the power of the EFI.... at least with the carb. you can tune it yourself and get it the way you want it

The older style EFI was harder to tune. The more modern system is very easy. There are even tuners that learn your performance needs as you go and make adjustments to the tune fit your bike. I really like EFI and how dependable and easy it is. That being said, on an older bike if you are going for performance, use a carb.

UNLESS you covert to Delfi, CARB all the way.

Been there, done that with MM. No aftermarket support. They are fine with millions of miles... in stock config. Once you start the mods...the headache's COMPOUND!

Your choice, but I'll not own another MM efi bike.

Modern EFI is nice. You have a 16 year old version and wiring. If it were me, I'd go with the carb or upgrade to a modern EFI system to go the next 16 years.

Carbs just look cool too.

The modern Delphi EFI is pretty reliable and easy to tune. The EFI from (( could/would present some tune problems. A carb would be your best bet in this case.
