Harley's Black Denim paint.........
Ive heard that the flat black paint from Harley (Black Denim, I believe) scratches easily or shows scratches easily....just wondered if this is true?

I haven't scratched mine yet, so I can't answer that.
It will rub to a shine...that I know. My jeans on my right leg, when it bends, has rubbed a small shiny spot on my tank. My wife saw it before I did, so it's not that noticeable.
The sad part is, there's no way to fix the shiny spots or scratches.

I have it on my bike and its a very forgiving finish, some light scratches can be worked out with Meguiar's ScratchX but not to many times. It will develop some worn in spots over time, but thats the charm of denim paint. Mine reminds me of a beat up leather jacket. when i park mine next to a brand new denim bike the new finish lacks the lived in look of my 6 year old paint. another up shot of the finish is that i have never need to use anything more than windex and a soft cloth to clean it.

Comparing it to leather is the best description. Easy to clean and shows signs of being 'lived in'. After having HD gloss bikes for years, it's nice to be able to embrace the wear rather than stress out about it.
