Default big rallys no bags?

my bike is not set up to carry things, but with a seat change could ride a decent distance. with only a backpack how do people survive weather, necessity's of hygiene. etc. Im wanting to do sturgis and daytona in the future but the only way i see it happing is either get a new bike, or get a trailer. the trailer would be alot cheaper. Im a hotel type guy not a camper so possibly ship my weeks worth of crap to hotel and ride bike there. How do the masses do it?

i strap any luggage, bags on to the passenger seat. Amazing how much you can carry. If that is not enough space, carry what you need to make the trip and Fedex your stuff to the hotel, it will be there when you arrive. Of course you have to remember to ship it back home when done.

If its several days ride, Ive been known to ship clothes etc ahead to my destination. Carry min. Then pack my dirty ones and ship them home.

Buy cheap Walmart underwear and socks, then throw them away when they get dirty. Less to pack home.

I have a left side swing arm bag and a small bag on my forks. If I need more space, I have a back pack...but we've never needed it, even when we went on our anniversary to Bossier City.

I went to Sturgis on my Street Bob and used a Saddlemen Deluxe Tailbag. Worked great and held lots of stuff, plus it made a decent backrest.

PM me if you are interested, as I am selling it.

Get a sissy bar and strap stuff to it and the back seat. If you need more stuff then get a luggage rack as well. The majority of bikes on the road these days are baggers because it makes traveling with stuff much easier.

Throw over saddle bags, rally pack and a tank bag will take you anywhere you need to go.
You can put them on take them off in 15 minutes.

Aside from my saddlebags I have a Saddlemen bag, a Saddlemen rack bag and a tool bag. I can travel for practically indefinitely with my setup including saddlebags. You'll kind of get an idea from my sig pic. I don't have the top roll in that pic but I did travel with it.

Check out http://www.bikersfriend.com/
I have one. It hold a lot of stuff and no sissy bar is required.
The one in my signature is the Large bag.
