Default Tranny Oil

Ok, i dont want to start another thread about the oil, i lived in Hawaii and its kind of hard to find a good store who sells good quality oil. I have a 2013 wide Glide and this is my second oil change, i already have an oil for Engine and Primary and im still a little confused about the Tranny oil, i found a royal purple 75/90 with friction modifier, my question is, is it safe to put tranny oil with friction modifier on the Harley Tranny? Thanks

I use Mobil 1 in the engine & primary (you can also use in tranny) and Redline Shockproof Heavy in the tranny. I recommend Redline SH in the tranny if you can find it where you are in HA but Mobil 1 will do okay. SJ Ron

And yet, you did anyway.

You will get so many different opinions on what is "best", you won't know which one to pick.

I'm so glad I let the shop do mine. The different choices AND brands, the how much do I use crap wears me out, just reading about it.

I know Red Line has a "kit" of the different oils to use in bikes. I guess if I did it myself, I'd get it. I don't remember how much it was but I Googled it and found it. And living in a small town, I'd have to order it.
