for those who need encouragement after their accidents
On a positive note, since we've reported so many accidents, here's some encouragment from a woman with a prosthetic leg who should have died in her m-cylce crash...she's a motivational speaker and is still riding!
her riding picture is at http://www.oneleggedblonde.com/blog/lifeafteramputation, then go to her about page, to read her story |
Great story, Dragonflyrider. Definitely a good example of what it means to persevere and continue riding.
I do think there are those who after an accident just don't want to ride, no matter how much encouragement we give them. I know guys who served honorably but after a horrific event just had to call it quits because of the emotional strain. Then there are those, who like your story, press on and head back into it. Everyone needs something different after a crash, whether it's a story, time, or hanging up the helmet. No shame in any of it. Ride safe. |
Very nice post. She is a tough chick! Looks good on the bike too...
Thanks for the post! |
Jay, I think you're right, but I think it was Iceman? (if I have the right screen name) that shared he might want to get back out and ride again, but if the desire is there, there might be a way of working around a disability.
