This is a no brainer, imagine for first time harley will be priced competitively. I predict this would definetly be a huge success in asia. They are obviously targeting the asian market.
Alot of motorcycle companies are now having their bikes bulit in thailand and india. Like ducati 795 in thailand and ktm duke 125, 200 and 390 in india. Having them bulit there considerably lowers the production cost and also favors its asian neighbors from huge taxes that will be added to the cost of the bikes if it were coming from europe & the US. Like the ducati 795 is a big hit in asia now...cost is alot lower than the 796. Around $6,500!! imagine that much!! The US market is not their target here. Also like the new ford ranger which is a huge hit around the world. Ive been waiting more than a year & still cant get one coz of the demand. The price is about right. Its desinged in australia, but made in thailand. Available for the rest of the world except US and canada.

Did anyone actually read the articles? I don't think the OP even read them. If he did, he sure as hell didn't understand them and put a lot of interpretation into the post. Nowhere did it even mention them being sold in the US. It did say they were developed specifically for the Asian market. Everybody gets in a wad over nothing. They have been building Harleys in Brazil for years and I don't see anyone crying about that. This is no different.

I hope they sell them here. I'd pick one up for commuting.

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to get one. I read that they're made in India FOR Indians, and won't be sold in the US

Was out this afternoon looking at a Buell Blast with my younger sister, she doesn't feel comfortable on my 1200C. Looks like a good fit for her to start on, and the price is right. Needs tires and some TLC and she'll be good to go in the spring for $1600.

Hey moderator can we stop the use of Jap on this forum. Not liking this. I would rather hear metric than JAP

A good portion of YOU PEOPLE seem to be very out of touch and need to get out of your one track minded bubble

So just because YOU don't like people calling them Jap bikes, everyone on this forum should stop calling them that and start calling them Metrics just for you? Good luck with that is all I got to say!
