Default Demo Rides

Went over to Buddy Stubbs here in Phoenix for their demo ride event. Took out the Softail Slim, Sportster 48, and Street Glide. The Slim was nice, would need to modify and adjust for a better riding position for me but not bad. I love the look of the 48 but would not consider purchasing after the test ride. I felt like I was sitting on my nut sack, it would be better with mid controls like the Iron. The SG was good but not great. The bike at lower speeds felt like it wanted to tip to the left. I found myself continually correcting and that distracted my ride. The SG had great power in all gears, never needed 6th on a demo ride. Also didn't like the info center in the middle of the dash another piece to distract a rider. I can see someone going down trying to mess with that thing. The brakes where great and the stock seat was comfortable. But would not pay 20K+. I'm glad I went to test ride the new bikes, makes me appreciate what I have. Oh and while I was waiting my turn someone rode in on a Limited and guess what it did, puked coolant out right after they shut it off.

So...which one are you going to get? The mod needer, the nut sack, the tipper or the puker?

Probably a wise decision. Thanks for sharing the story. LMAO about the Limited puking. How appropriate.....timing is everything.

I test drove the SG down here in Tucson Arizona, The Grey SG probably same one you drove. I didn't notice anything about it wanting to go left at all while riding the 15ish mile course. I really loved the ride and wouldn't mind having one.

Trying to get the girl friend to take the riders course and get her Motorcycle endorsement and maybe a few years down the line i will get a SG.
