Default H-d 20-50 in the primary

Was talking to my service Tec today and told him I serviced the bike yesterday . So he ask what I had put back in it .

20-50 Amsoil in the motor and 20-50 H-D in the primary .
He said 20-50 H-D was not good enough and use H-D trans oil ?

What do you use ?

20/50 Amsoil in crankcase
Gear oil in the tranny
HD Trans/primary in the primary.

Most dealers want you to use syn 3 in all three holes.

What do I use? Whatever the dealership puts in it. Probably 20W-50.

I currently have syn3 in the engine and Formula+ in the trans and primary. I'm thinking about using Syn3 in all 3 holes next time or Lucas 20w50 synthetic in the engine and primary and Lucas synthetic gear oil in the trans.

HD 20/50 or F+ makes no real difference.
F+ is a bit lower cost is about all.

Yep, I just use 10w-40 Castrol (Dino). Hell, all that's in there is the clutch basket and a chain. Almost any oil that isn't too slippery will work. JMO

Had ATF then switched over MTL. Shifts like butter.
