Engine vibration
I have a 2000 Electragide Standard with 73,000 miles on it. Took a trip over the weekend and it seems to have developed a vibration that I think is coming from the engine, no noise though. At higher speeds on the highway it gets worse. The whole bike vibrates but if I pull the clutch in it goes away, so I do not think it is in drive train. Any idea's??I was going to replace the spark plugs ??

I would think if the vibrations go away when you pull in the clutch that the vibes are in the drive train, possibly a primary chain needing adjustment.

Be sure to check the front engine mount. The vibration sometimes starts out gradual and unnoticeable until the mount fails. The failure is usually pretty easy to see. I noticed that the space between the oil filter and the voltage regulator on my RK had become closer together along with the vibration. I replaced the mount…….the vibration was normal and it felt like I was ridding a new bike again. Good luck!!!! Check the battery cables too!!!

Check the rear swing arm/ motor mounts. I bet that rubber is harder than a rock. I know mine is and it's an 08. I'm planning to change them out this winter.

I just went through the same thing.....Check your rear bearings....mine was bad and causing my vibration...not saying that is what it is....but mine was......
