Redline engine oil and transmission oil
Where do you get your redline products from? I tried two Walmarts, an Auto Zone, and an Advantage Auto. None of the carried it. The dealer wants $15.95 a quart for the engine oil and $19.83 a quart for the transmission oil. That seems ridiculous. The also wanted $19.95 for an oil filter wrench. I know I can get one of those for about $5 almost anywhere, so I figured there must be a lot cheaper place to get the oils.

On their web site, there's a search for a dealer http://www.redlineoil.com/dealers.aspx
Maybe it'll help you find one in your area. |
Cheapest I've seen Redline Shockproof tranny oil is $17 and some change, and the cheapest I have seen their oil is $15. Personally, I quit using Shockproof when it looked like a dead seal threw up its spleen into the oil pan.

I have bought both much cheaper on Amazon with free shipping to Hawaii.

Ebay Amazon All online and can get pretty good pricing. I think the last few times I found the best pricing on Amazon. |
Amazon, just bought some for the tranny and plan to change next week. Currently running Mobil 1 v-Twin in tranny.

One of the reasons I switched to Mobil 1 V=Twin 20-50 in all 3 is its a good product and easy to find.
Also I've found almost every spring Most auto stores have it on sale, I just buy 12 qts at that time. This past spring I got it for $7.95 @.. Filters, I buy the black one when our dealer has a sell. Usually around $10@ and I get 4 of them as the son's bike used the same. . |
