Hell, I need all my wits about me to ride safely and dodge the damn cagers as it is. If riding, no drinking....If drinking, no riding. That's my rule and it applies to my cage or bike.

Before the wife and kids, I would drink and ride all the time. Now, just can't bring myself to have more than one, and even then wait an hour before I ride. My buds still fall in the "professional" category. That's fine by me. If I can tell one of them has had a few to many though, well, let's just say they ain't gettin on!

 

3 beer/shot max then I take her home or park it.
Never with the kids on.

1 beer, 1 water, 1 beer, 1 water. I "nurse" the beer and pound the water. Never feel a buzz, but look cool,and this takes place over the course of three hours. No more than 1 per hour ONLY if I eat too.

Booze? Have to admit to having a couple beer or coolersalong the ride.. but have yet to feel the need to have more than that! Like yourselves, it is too big a risk towards hurting someone, the bike, or yourself...

Onebeer per hour is my max along with a meal or snack. Ohio is a very tough DUI state. So, a guy my size can have 1 beer per hour and still be under .08 BAC. Same when driving my boat to the Lake Erie Islands. If I have 3 beers with lunch...we are staying 3 hours.....period. I have found I can have one beer (or less) per hour and still have a good time. Most bike nights I'll stay 2 hours and still only have 1 beer.

 

Ah yes, Booze, Babes and Bikes. 20 years ofRiding on the Dark side. Starbucks and full facehelmets aren't for me.

 

I might have 1 beer with a meal every once in a while when I am out for a ride. I don't go out for happy hours drinks, haven't for years. Some of my most careless riding was when I was drinking and riding many years ago...skidding through intersections that I didn't see in time 'cause I was going too fast. Fortunately, I never wrecked or got pulled over for drinking and driving but I have learned my lesson.
