Default HD helmet, any good?

Anyone ever use this helmet? It's Harleys SPOILER version. Is it OK or does the wind pull it back and try to ripe your head off?

Howdy, I have a helmet that's similar and if I tilt my head back, the wind catches the flat surface of the edge of the helmet and forces it back a little. What I try to do is this, I tilt my head down a little and the wind doesn't have much effect on it then. Just my 2cts worth

Harley helmets are made by KBC, you can probably find the identical helmet at a indy or ricer dealer for well under HD's $150.00.

I already looked and also e-mailed KBC and couldnt find the same helmet. KBC said they made it exclusively for HD and cant sell it to me even if they took the logo off it.

I have the exact same helmet and the wind does not pull it back unless traveling fast.. even then it is very slight.

Thanks for the good news guys, I'm going the HD at lunch to get mine. I tried a NXT but for some reason it did look bigger than this HD one. It also pushed my ears down, kind of bent them.

Thanks again.

Hey guys,

This is one of the helmets that I have, and it killed me to pay the extra for it because it had the HD logo on it. But I couldn't find it anywhere else. I spent time looking for the NXT helmets, but 2 of the local dealers won't carry them any more, problems with the company. Anyway, I did find a HD dealer up in Reading, MA that had the NXT's and I couldn't find one that fit, and I really didn't like the feel of them (lack of padding) etc... I know they are hi-tech, light etc... but they seemed to be made IMHO in a sub-par way on the interior parts of the helmet.

Anyway, I use this HD helmet every day as my previous 1/2 helmet got uncofortable after an hour or so, and this new one is very comfortable (no problems on a 14 hour ride from NC to MA). I did find that the size of it ran a little large, but could have just been this batch of the. No problems with wind but I have an Ultra... Part of the liner is removable. All in all a nice helmet that I'm very happy with.

Me too... my other helmet is XL and on the spoiler helmet a large fits me perfect. For my noggin this helmet is very comfortable for extended periods. Looks like a quality piece all around
