Default BDL compensator

has anybody tried the BDL comp? on their bike? saw this advertized and it seems like a great replacement for the se unit. under 200.00 and no springs, seeing if theres any feedback on this, I might just order one. theres one with the 34 teeth. I just didn't get it copied

That does not appear to be a comp. Just a solid sprocket. The comp is on the bike for a reason. There are a few who have gone to just a sprocket. Maybe some of those will chime in?

Thumbs down Not recommended.

Not familiar with it, but it looks like a solid sprocket, probably for use with a drag setup. I suspect it would be unsuitable for the street do to excessive vibration. I do run a BDL belt drive with no compensation, but the chain might need a compensator.

this is a compensator, its on a threaded hub with large nylon hardened stops inside, weighs about a pound less that the SE version. please read the print under the picture. there is on also with 34 teeth for 09 up bikes, just not showing that one here, but it looks very similar. I know it looks like a solid sprocket, but its NOT!

I'm surprised we have not heard more about it? I know folks are waiting on an alternative from Dark Horse. Since Dark Horse is still testing, many have complained the only alternative is the Harley Screaming Eagle which has been updated a number of times. Seems if there was this other alternative it would be welcomed? I'm on the fence and want to see what others have to say?

I would like to see more of a cross section of it. The SE unit has too much crap going on inside of it. DH comp looks great but taking forever.

I too was waiting for the dark horse, but that might be a year away. this looks very promising. I just ordered it as my se comp is banging away, and I can't wait any more. I'll keep everybody up to date on this. BDL usually makes pretty good stuff. Hope so

I'd appreciate your feed back for sure? Maybe a couple of pics? I've used BDL stuff in my younger days when I ran some open primarys. They've been around awhile and make quality stuff!
