Harley Rolls Into India - A business newspaper in India is reporting that Harley-Davidson Inc. may begin selling motorcycles in that country ahead of next month's visit from Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Susan Schwab.

 

I heard that as well. I have a neighbor who is from India who recently purchased a Harley and he was telling me this.

 

This was on the news here in Milwaukee last night (anything involving Harley usually is) and the story pretty much mirrored the link here; however, the television story did mention the 60% tariff. As tariffs go, that has to be considered pretty steep. [:-]

 

Smart idea by Harley. There's lots of people with cash in India these days with all the high paying IT jobs over there.
