cold weather riding
Just wondering if I have any fellow riders still scooting to work in wisconsin? There has got to be another crazy one like myself.

Don't know about Wisconsin but in Michigan my only rule is no snow or ice on road temp don't matter much.
|
I am out on the road every day for work throughout central WI. I haven't seen a motorcycle on the road since mid November.
|
Well I guess you haven't driven through southern wisconsin. Lol

Unless you're training for ice racing, youse guys are flippin' NUTS! :icon_nut:
The roads are crap between Chippewa Falls & Rice Lake. Have been most of the winter. |
Besides the salt they are decent. I have been getting called crazy alot though.

I am 10 miles south of you in Lake Summerset you are either full of S@#$ or nuts it has been below zero at least 30 times since Dec 1 and snowing the other days . How many days have you really rode that bike this winter ? how far do you go?

I love S100 Corrosion Protectant, I buy it by the case. :) Best salt protection on the market. Been using it for 10 years now. I spray it on my wheels and all over the lower frame area in Nov. and wash it off in March. Tried H-D Bare Chrome Protectant 2 years ago - completely ruined my wheels finish. Stay away from it. |

Agreed crazy. I'm with you on the below zero I should've stated upon clear roads but just tryin to get a feel if anyone else still rides yet to see another bike. And ride is about 20 minutes round trip so its a short ride nonetheless
