Default push/pull throttle

posted this over on the dyna section, but figured i'd get more opinions here.

awhile back i laid my bike down and it bent up my throttle cable a little bit. nothing to stop it from working properly, but enough that i hate looking at it haha. anyway... is it possible to convert my push/pull throttle so a single cable version? is there any advantage or disadvantage?

thanks

Your bike will function fine with just the throttle. You don't need the return. The only advantage to keeping it is that you can use it as a back up if your throttle cable breaks on the road. I ran my Wideglide without one for a long time...

It's a safety feature, in case your throttle slide sticks. I would say run it till you can get a replacement, but I definitely would get it fixed.
