Anyone carry a spare Maxi Fuse with them? Anyone ever have one fail while on the road? +40A seems like a lot of current to blow this sucker.

 

The only one I know of is a friend of mine had one blow while going down the Interstate.He has an older Ultra with a lot of ad ons,so yes I carry an extra.

 

I do. I got my bike 13 months ago and decided to replace all the fuses, relays and maxi fuse since I didn't know if they had ever been changed or not. I carry the relays and maxi fuse I replaced as spares just incase.

 

Among the various parts and things that are in my side bag, I carry every size fuse and a spare fob battery, they take up no room and weigh even less so there's no downside to having them. But a big upside if I ever need one.
I never had a 40A blow so I'll probably have it for a long time.
