Great post! I'm glad we didn't have the Internet and all those keyboard cowboys and "experienced" riders around back in the late 1960s to tell us what we should be doing <g>

And AMEN to the recommendation to take road trips. That's when I really fell myself enjoying the ride!

Spot on. I think if all of us were chillin' around a bonfire with steaks and burgers on the grill we would probably be ashamed of the way we talk to each other online sometimes. No, not all of us would get along or like each other in person, internet anonymity may actually be what allows some of us to get along, but I would bet there would be no "Are you a real biker or a poser" type conversations. The internet allows some people to be tougher than they really are in person or allows them the opportunity to be a dick to someone just because they can.

Thank you from a "newer" rider! It seems the younger guys do get dismissed right off the bat, instead of having the volumes of knowledge passed to them from the experienced guys.
