Looking for another

Ok guys I have an ultra for long trips but I am looking for another to ride around town with my wife on her 883..Quick trips to the store and what not..What do you guys think would be a good unit to get for me iam about 5'11 and 275 so I don't want to look like iam on a mopad..thanks in advance

Dude, you are a big guy. I don't know if any "run around town" bikes will look like anything other than a moped under you. That said, how about a Fat Boy? Not exactly fits what you are saying you want, but that bike looks pretty good under a big guy. YMMV

I know that's right just looking for something a bit lighter and a bit more nimble

If you're puttering around town with her, on most BT's you'll probably have to break some speed limits to catch up with her on the sporty after the corners, like I did with my daughter on this on this floorboard grinding ride -

I love the different handling and ride of a sporty, would hate to only have the Glide. I'm 6'4" and don't feel cramped on it - but I also got a "Pillowlook" Harley seat for it, which besides being way more comfortable than the original, sits me back about 2". Weight has a more noticeable effect on an 883; get one of those and your wife could run away from you. A 1200 hardly notices the extra weight; you'd keep up with no effort. Unless she really hammers it through the corners better than you... :D I know some guys don't think it makes a difference, but I've swapped forwards for mids on the same bike, and it made a big difference in handling, felt way more nimble with the better balancing.

A dyna for sure...perfect match for riding with the sporty...and you will be able to keep up with her in the turns

I've had just about every family of HD's over the years. If it were me, I'd get a Dyna for what you said you wanted to do with it. I really like Roadkings, but it's to close to what you already have as are all the touring bikes. A RK is a lot more maneuverable and all that than your ultra is, but I'd still go with a Dyna. They basically handle like a sporty that's on steroids. A little bigger, heavier, and more powerful than a sporty, but they handle and ride great. IMO a Dyna rides and handles better than a softy but many would say just the opposite that softys handle better, yada, yada, yada. Try them both and you decide.

First choice is also a Dyna with 103

And choice was going to be a softail, as they look so good, but you could never keep up with her in the corners.
