Next Question, Highway Pegs
I've been ridin along time, over the years I've seen lots of riders with 'em. Have never had the opportunity to try 'em. Wanted to find out what you think, comfort, lack of control, before I decide.

I ride a Heritage Softail with a crash bar and highway pegs. I do a lot of highway riding and use the pegs all the time. Very comfortable if you have them set up properly for you.

I've had them in the past and I hated them. I felt like it changed the center of gravity. Whether it did it not, I don't know. But just feeling uneasy with them made me take them off.

On longer rides they will give you another position for your feet which translates to relieving some of the pressure points on your buns. I wouldn't suggest using them in city traffic as it will increase the distance, and therefore the "reaction time", between your feet and the foot controls. Plus, mid controls offer more maneuverability.

I like mine. The way I have them set up gives me 3 more foot placement options.
Heels on floorboards with toes on pegs
Center of foot on the pegs
Heels riding on top of the pegs
Longest I have gone is about an hour and a half with my feet on the pegs.

Wouldn't do without. Riding long distance, I need to shift the legs around for comfort and the pegs give me a few more options. Had them on a Super Glide and Street Glide.

Highway pegs serve their purpose. Which is for comfort while riding on highways. IF i'm riding the super slab, I find myself on the highway pegs (in any of the 3 positions pointed out by Big Boz) roughly 60-70% of the time. But I rarely ride the super slab so I don't use my pegs all that often.

I like the option to stretch out but I find I cannot tolerate them in standard position as the stress on my knees becomes painful after 10-15 minutes ( arthritus). So I have them turned inwards and close to my extra long floorboards and in that setup I can rest my heel on the floorboard, the ball of my foot on the highway pegs and just turn my foot to access brake/ shifters. In that configuration they're much more comfortable for me but I'm not sure I'd drop the $150 or so again if I had a do over.
