Harley MP3 Player Sound Cracking
 

I have an 2005 Electra Glide Classic. I purchased a Harley handle mount MP3 player that uses an SD Card. It worked great for years but recently the sound is cracking, it is also cracking when I put on the radio. Could this be a loose antenna wire, that might bother the radio but would it bother the MP3 player too. I also noticed today my horn didn't work a couple of times today but is working now but MP3 still acting up. Where should I start looking?

if the sound is 'cracking up' when you play the mp3 and the radio, then chances are your speakers are cracked. you don't say how long you've had it, but 'years' is usually pretty hard on speakers that basically sit outside all the time.

Yeah, id try hooking it up to a differnet set of speakers, and then hooking the speakers up to a different audio device. If theyre not hardwired in to each other.

Narrow down the problem area.
